The best gym in the city is (and why): I think not!!! They are a rip off I being stupid was talked into not cancelling my contract and my biweekly payment was reduced since I had been with them since 2009. Well that last for a very short time and although for a few months they did not charge me to make up the difference, once again I was charged the old rate I did call several times but no one answered me calls, After being in a car accident getting this matter settled was very low on the list and now that after a back operation I need to be in a club where there is a therapy pool. So I went in to cancel my membership to be told I owe $88.00 although for two years they have overcharged my by the tune of $237.60 I OWE them. I was told I would have to speak to the accountant of which I did and he would not stand behind his employees and still insists that I pay $88.00. Although not a lot of money I do not trust these people since the accountant said I should be paying a higher rate. I have since written to the Ombudsman of Ontario to report them and I am going to write consumers protection along with and social media I can get to

Back in November, they had no hot water for over a month
The roof leaks everywhere. There's no way to workout during or after a rain storm.

Staff is rude
When you sign up, they try to get your credit card number or a void cheque. They always overcharge and there's no way to get your money back

has not had hot water for almost a month now. a lot of the leather rests on equipment is ripped and foam coming out. no tv's and a $20/20 year old radio on the gym floor is a bit of a joke, considering that the whole place has speakers. looks like it is ripe for another bankruptcy and they should probably stop taking peoples money if thats the case. but that is not how businesses work is it?

Cost of membership:I went through the same thing in king cross Brampton regency fitness, the manager "Micky" doesn't want to give the owner's name or head office details. I cancelled the contract within a week as well and haven't received the refund yet.I keep on calling them for 2 months now, the manager responds irresponsabily saying "you could call everyday or every week, if there is no check for you I can't do anything" I asked for the head office #. He said "it's none of your business"!!! I'm so upset. Please smby help me

As soon as you sign the contract you are trapped.they have the mandatory physical assessment for every 3 months for which you have to pay. The manager of king cross Brampton location made me sign the contract with 10 days of no obligation trial period. I cancelled it in a week as equipments were broken and change rooms were not clean.staffs were rude as well. It has been 7 weeks.I haven't received the pmt yet. They refused to give me the head office details. I'm calling the the Ontario consumer protection soon.I will report and file the claim

Thoughts: only reason im still at this gym is because its literally 8 mins from my house and i got a cheap rate.. Otherwise id chose any other gym over this. Half the equimdpent cant be used to to the lack of accessories (bars clips weights). Only one water fountain works. The tvs on the cardip equipment dont work. The ball court they promised when theybrenovated 5 years ago is net in a squash court with no ac. Even the rim is bent.. Speaking of ac.. They never have it on.. They have one fan that works sometime. They tried to scam me before luckilh i got kept after them and got my money back. Onlyppl that give this gym a good rating are prob the managers coming here and writing good stuff

I am currently being scammed by this fitness club when I cancelled my membership with them well over 3 years ago. I recently noticed that a recurring payment is being deducted under Regency Fitness. However, a couple months prior, the same amount was being taken out under a different name, RSP which I had presumed was my RRSP payment coming out.
This morning I contacted Regency Fitness to inquire as to why I am being deducted funds when I no longer have a membership. The account manager that I was speaking to then asked me when the last payment was taken out. I advised him of the most recent date that it was taken out and he notified me that I currently have a valid membership. I personally remember speaking with the manager 3 years ago in 2011 who filled out a cancellation sheet and had me pick this document up. Not long after, I joined Goodlife and have been with them ever since.
After discussing this matter over the phone, I told him that I had cancelled and that there should be record of me cancelling, and he advised me that the previous company had went bankrupt and that they are not giving up files. Absolutely appalled by this, he then offered that I should use my membership if I am paying for that. Its unfortunate that I am probably not the only person being taken advantage of, and with that being said, I can find many posts on google about this particular location and how they scam their customers consistently and in different ways.
Over the last 3 years, approximately $1,200.00 has been taken from me, right under my nose. If it as at all possible, this company needs to be exploited so that others can pool with me to determine an outcome where individuals receive the money that was taken from.
When I speak to an 'Account Manager' like I did at this location and receive that attitude, I am infuriated that a person with this position would be speaking with concerned clients.

The owner is the biggest scamming ever, the general manager is a biggest scamming over. They dont even pay their employes on time. it is the same gym as premier fitness, SAME OWNER. How the fuck the does he still runs things despite premier closing down and with all law suits. Orrible experience, rude staff and customer service and manner are disgusting. Be very carefull when signing a contract and always get a letter for cancellation of membership. More than likely you'll end up paying after your membership expires and no cooperation to get money back.

They are very nice until you sign a contract then they are not professional or considerate at all. No measuremenats and pics taken when required not motivated to go into that facilty and they are not flexible and way to expensive. I would never come back after my contract is over.

Equipment is not being repaired in a timely fashion, nor are they putting warning signs on the equipment that is broken, despite multiple complaints. As well, due to a billing error on their part, it is taking more tha 4 months to get our money back and no one seems to have an answer on why it is delayed.
We will be terminating our membership here once te year is done.
