Gym Overall Review Score
Cost of membership:$40
I've been a member for almost 2 years now and I have made this gym my second home. I have seen the changes it has gone through and am very impressed by the turn around.
The Manager; Cameron, is a very reasonable and friendly guy. He has handeled all my personal concerns in a timely matter and in a very professional way. The gym has new equipment now and has a very selfless cleaner during the day who cleans nonstop.
I love the classes and the staff always ensures to greet me with a smile and call me by my name when I walk in for my workout.
My only complaint about the gym is the TV channel selections.
Cost of membership:40
Thoughts:I asked the GM Cameron Cogswell to have someone clean up the weight room because I was sick of searching for every piece of equipment and a matching dumbells. Cameron the GM tell me "If I don't like it clean it up myself" I immediately cancelled my membership. Unbelievable!
The best gym in the city is (and why):
Cost of membership:
Thoughts: The gym is always dirty and the front desk staff basically let anyone in. No gym card they just buzz you in. Had my locker broken into one month ago and was told to call the police not their problem by the Manager Cameron.
Cost of membership: $40 a month plus tax for mississauga region
Pros: Good variety
Cons: Poor Management
Thoughts: Not returning because the general manager is rude and ignorant. Asked him to turn the music down and was told by the GM if I don;t like it go somewhere else.
The best gym in the city is (and why): Lifetime fitness. There treat you like gold, they are nice and call you by first name.
Reviewer: Lois Fowler
Choice of program on TV is very poor. Sometimes 3 TV showing kids cartoon/program and the other 3 TV showing food channels. This is poor for a gym.
Although difficult to gauge the right kind of music to play for a wide audience, the only kind they play at South Common is rap or hiphop. And they play it very loud.
