I know many people who work at this location. The staff there are fantastic, everyone up until the General manager. The current manager is looking out for one thing and one thing only, that's money. Yes I understand that this is a business but she has been threatened to be sued by former employees due to her power trips. She has fired many people who have argued for wrongful dismissal with corporate and won. As friendly as the staff is, when you see them miserable it's probably because she's making them work 60 hr weeks without overtime...and I'm not talking about overtime pay, she doesn't even pay them above 44 hours. Which I understand in a commission field is common but threatening a person with their job though they were in the hospital, or are sick with a legitimate illness that has been documented at the time of hire is not proper procedure.
Corporate is protecting a woman because she is their friend, but she has treated everyone poorly. She has isolated individuals because they were friends with previous employees, she has committed slander about previous employees including calling them stupid, stating they are untrustworthy with other staff in attempt to separate them, and she threatens people with their jobs on a daily basis to keep them in fear.
This is the real Goodlife, the one where customers are harassed and so are the employees.

funny if you are 17 and a bit you get free or greatly reduced fees, but the day you turn 18 it's just sign here to extend your great contract. no you don't need to read it, haven't we been friends and helped you all along. Except for that gay guy it's much worse for girls, a lot of hands on training. One other thing when your contract runs out,it doesn't. Even though you had your farewell party at the gym they wait until a year later to sue and it's your fault.

First ? to Scott.
Where are there two floors of cardio equipment at ManuLife GoodLife ?
Overview of gym: staff good, location great, internal layout and size bad there are more people bunched up in the waiting/stretch area during peak hours then traffic jam in Mumbai (:> , but they have a pool on the third floor how cool is that ! Price is average for gyms.
So all said, decent place, but plese don't join, its busy enuff, go over to the Plaza Goodlife few blocks east.

Damn Ellen, you sound like a Cgraded *****. The staff isn't rude AT ALL. Price wiseyes they are pricey. I recommend that you don't go during M and W evenings because you will NOT get anything done. It's clean. A few cardio machines don't work but that's fine because they have MORE than enough downstairs and upstairs. Upstairs is an overall 'tight' feeling because the spacing is just too small. It's a good gymnothing amazing, but good.

This is just a BAD gym, overprice with poor equipment aned rude staff. Goodlife also keep stealing money out of your bank account long after you quit. don't foget that the staff will lose you canceling paperwork. DO NOT SIGN UP WITH GOODLIFE!

Overcrowded, especially M-W evenings. The physcial space-wise, the worst Goodlife location. A large number of cardio equipment is out of service. Members have to line up too long for a cardio machine. Too little equipment to support the members.

i completely disagree with the above comment. the staff at goodlife make my day and the girl who opens at 6am is always cheerful and helpful even that early. difficult people get treated difficulty... ive only seen rude behaviour after customers were impossible.

The reception/desk staff at Manulife needs to learn how to smile, take time to "welcome" and they should learn how to NOT be snarky if asked questions and how NOT to pass the blame if they make a mistake; they need to learn how to say "I'm sorry" and "Thank you"!! They (with the exception of two or three, are arrogant, and filled with "attitude"..Why would anybody want to join a club with such attitude?
