Poorly run and dirty. Faucets in women's bathroom not working properly. Outside of toilet bowls filthy. People on exercise floor with cellphones, sitting on machines and texting and refusing to move, with personal trainers looking on and saying nothing. Guys taking pictures of young girls working out. Groups of guys monopolizing machines, taking turns with sets and keeping everyone else from using them. The guy at the front desk is useless, offering no help for any problems mentioned. Someone should be down there monitoring what's going on and upholding the rules. I found rodent feces on the ledge a couple of times. I have been going there for many years but I am cancelling my membership and finding a better place.

This is the best gym in Ottawa region for the money. Friendly staff is what makes it worth it. Other Goodlife's in the area have "cliquey" staff that are more interested in socializing with each other than greeting members. Love, love, love this gym. If they had a pool and hot tub it would make this gym a perfect 10 !!!

I love this gym, clean and big. lots of equipment with friendly staff that don't bother you. music is good and if you don't like it the staff listen to requests. clean bathrooms with soap. clean lockers. no waiting. location is central and should be a 24 hr gym.

I was remiss not to state the attributes of the Ottawa Queensview Goodlife Fitness Centre. I enroled in a personal training program and cannot say enough good things about the personal trainer assigned to me, Angela Burns. She is extremely competent, focused, dedicated and encouraging, and as a result, I have lost weight in a short time period and become more toned. She also is monitoring my diet. The Queensview facility is an excellent facility with lots of equipment and extras such as: squash courts, saunas, televisions while exercising, group exercise sessions. The other staff are excellent and helpful.

This is a great gym if you play squash, but expect to book your courts FAR in advance. The rest of the facilities are nice however.

    Tracking Your Weights

    There are lots of easy ways to track your sets and reps. One easy way is through a little book that you can take with you to the gym. This book has progress charts, workouts and lots of tools you can use to always make sure you are improving.
