Cost of membership:$700.00 a year. all good reviews are from staff. makes me laugh because thats the ppl who try to sell to me contracts, mikey, ectt. lol
Pros:taking your money
Cons:rip off 1 yr contracts. read ten times b4 signing.
Thoughts:rip off sales just want you to sign and take your money, they say were family, but really 2 face , just want your sign, and trianers fees

bad experience!! when i stepped in the gym, everyone were really busy and ignored me except the staff who distributed the coffee coupon. PerhapsI used school gift voucher 6 months to join, the socalled customer manager really didn't want to talk when i said i wanted to try first and considered to join the whole yr membership.

after that, she asked another staff to help me, just give me a temp memebership card but only one month and said goodbye.

how come didn't take me a look around the facities or showed me where changing room, bathroom..........
Finally i requested and his face showed a bit :<

when i asked i wanna bring my friend to come with 7 days pass, i felt her really unhappy and said i only brought one friend and one day only.

maybe they thought me i used the gift voucher, they couldn't earn commission.

even i like the classes, i never went there again.

This is by far the best gym in the city. Huge facility, wide variety of equipment, never have to wait for a machine or any free weights. 3 floors, helpful and polite staff, and is extremely clean and sanitary. Been a member of many different gyms for years and years, and Extreme Fitness (the dunfield yonge and eg) is by far my favourite.

Cons: Parking at times could be an issue, especially during peak hours
Thoughts: It is not cheap but it is a good value for money.
The best gym in the city is (and why): I have used Goodlife and Fitness Institute in the past. Extreme Fitness is much better. They have more equipments. I can use multiple gyms facilities with my membership. I would recommend it to others. Just be straight forward when you meet the sales rep what you want, how much can you pay and then see if it fits in your budget.

I've been a member with Extreme for over a year. I started off at Dunfield hoping to get the $8 for 2 months plan. Didn't end up happening. Ended up going with a 13 month contract with 3 months free. Whenever I had a problem, the agent that signed me up was never there. He ended up leaving that location to go to another location. I ended up dealing with one of the GM's "Andrew". He was no help. Never follow ups on problems even though he said they had some kind of training with their staff on how to better interact with clients this was not portrayed by the staff. When I went to cancel my sister's membership, I ended up renewing for another year without realizing it! He told me the first month was free, but then I got billed. I tried calling, sent him an email and no response. I ended up going in to talk with one of the other managers, and complaining about him. It was at least a 30 minute wait before I could speak to someone. Horrible experiences at the Dunfield. Prefer to go to the Richmonde club.

Staff are not helpful, do not smile, and are actually confrontational.
They are not open about their pricing plans at all, and require you to sit with a sales rep. before giving any general prices.

sauna in women's department should be much more temperature. I understand about economizing but sauna is a sauna. And it must be a termometer there (in the sauna).

Trying to cram in too many people with $8/month membership without regard to impact on use of facilities (i.e., no room to stretch, little room in between equipment). Since Extreme took over, staff DO NOT seem to care. Not all trainers are sufficienty qualified. Fitness consultants use high pressure and unethical tactics to try & sell training sessions, even when they may not be needed.
