Cost of membership: 65
Pros: some of the classes, overalll the trainers of the classes are really nice
Cons: management and sales team, contract breach/abuse
Thoughts: whatever you do, if you like it: DONT GIVE YOUR CREDIT CARD NUMBER!!! as long as you are member its ok, once you cancel, watch your statements! (Not only once!)
The best gym in the city is (and why): YMCA honest, down to earth

Pros: great classes and instructors
Cons: busy certain nights of the week
Thoughts:
The best gym in the city is (and why): great classes, instructors who care, great workouts

Cost of membership: 129/month
Pros: location
Cons: fliers are inaccurate, e.g. stating offers $12/2 months with no longterm obligation, while managers wants 12 months commitment. Equipment looks worn out and old. Lockers are equally old and some even rusty. Sauna doesn't generate heat at all (and there is no temperature regulator)
Thoughts: Overall, fliers advertise this location as superior, however, I would think twice before joining, and definitely READ THE CONTRACT!!!! There is a lot of information on the contract that they don't state.
The best gym in the city is (and why): I haven't found one yet.

Stay away from this club. It is the Worst Gym in Toronto. Unprofessional staff all the way to the Club Manager.

I was told not to go there and I should of listened. They are so disorganized no one knows what is really going on. They talk garbage before they even read their computer. Its just not professional place they try to make you feel small so they can be in charge to make you feel big. They couldn't get anything right. I cancelled within a few days of signing.

The staff is extremely unprofessional and downright rude, all the way up to the director. Unorganized, late, unwilling to help, and, again, very rude. The facilities are nice, but I refuse to give my $ to these people.

In short: 1) Keep your wallet away from the sales rep.
2) Do NOT SIGN INTO THEIR SIGNING BOARD.
3) Do NOT SIGN FOR ANYTHING.
4) DO NOT BOTHER W/ THE TOUR OF THE GYM.
5) KEEP YOUR INK AWAY FROM THEIR PAPERS AT ALL COSTS!
6) All of them are FULL OF SMILES AND COURTEOUS WHEN TRYING TO GET YOUR HAND AND INK TO THEIR PAPER.
7) DURING CANCELLATION, THEIR FACE EXPRESSIONS CHANGED, ONLY A FEW GOOD SOUL PROBABLY WILL SLIGHTLY SMILE AT YOU, AND MAKE SURE THAT YOU GET YOUR CANCELLATION CONFIRMATION W/ ALL THE SIGNATURES PORTIONS FILLED BY YOU AND THE SALES PERSON.
9) JUST EXERCISE AT HOME, CHEAPER, AND NO BINDING CONTRACT W/ ANYONE, BUT YOURSELF, WELL, MAYBE W/ THE GYM EQUIPMENT STORE, BUT, AT LEAST, YOU OWN THE EQUIPMENTS AND CAN WORK OUT IN ACCORDANCE TO YOUR TIME SCHEDULES, NOT THEIRS!

Worst gym I have ever been to. They are the biggest rip off ever made hundreds of promises i.e swimming pool, sauna, better/new equipment, etc and not one was done... They refered me to North York if I wanted to attend an Extreme Fitness that had all the items they advertise even though I lived 15 minutes away from 80 Bloor St. And to top it off the monthly payments are regular even though they had half the things they advertised and best of all i cancelled my account with them over 4 months ago and now im taking them to court because they forgot to cancel my account with the head office and that affected my credit ... They're a B.S gym beware!!!
