I have been training with End Result Fitness for over 5 years. During that time, I have never once experienced problems in regards to billing, scheduling, or even the workouts itself. For those who say the workouts are too easy: Say something! No one is going to read your mind. They have too many clients to keep track of; so basically YOU have to say it and I am sure Allan and the rest of the ERF team will appreciate your feedback. I have gone to Allan for many issues, both personal and financial, and I have always received awesome advise and guidance. I would recommend them to anyone....

I felt harassed by the owner at End Result . I canceled my contract directly after signing on as I was fully protected under the CONSUMER PROTECTION ACT, 2002 : A consumer may, without any reason, cancel a personal development services agreement at any time within 10 days after the later of receiving the written copy of the agreement and the day all the services are available. 2002, c. 30, Sched. A, s. 35 (1). I told the owner I would like to cancel under this act and he told me he would refund my money under his 30 day money back guarantee. I told him that there was no need since I was already protected. He said he didn't want to refund the money on my card because it would charge him for the transaction. I told him to refund everything less 10% (or $69.28) off my refund to cover the costs just so I wouldn't have to deal with him again as I felt as though he just wanted me back in to try and sell me on the program. He refused so I decided to take the day off and went into his office at this time to pick up my cheque ... Fitness. He refused so I decided to take the day off and went into his office at this time to pick up my cheque. I brought my boyfriend with me because I felt nervous dealing with ERF on my own. Another staff member told me that the owner was on a conference call until 5:30... it was 4:40. I said that was fine, there should be a cheque waiting for me. He then came out with phone in hand, his hand over the mouthpiece and said I needed an appointment as I needed to sign things for his paperwork. I said I did not feel comfortable doing that, that I didn't need to do such a thing, and that I would just like my cheque so that I could leave. He then told me the cheque, that he had prepared in his office that day, was in his car, in the parking garage. He then went back on the phone and back into his office. I recieved an email at 4:46 PM, right after his conference call ended early. He said that if I didn't feel comfortable signing anything to confirm that End Result Fitness has HONOURED your Risk Free 30Day Money Back Guarantee and by no means was your request for a refund due to lack of results or quality of service. This was 100% due to personal reasons. That he would take a 1015 second video clip of me stating that. The last time I went in, the owner tried to talk me out of it again, and asked me to sign a letter that he was honouring his 30 day money back gaurantee. I refused since I was protected under the Consumer Protection Act of Ontario...then again, he said if I wouldn't sign anything he'd have to have me make a video. I started to have a panic attack and began to cry. He finally gave me my cheque (which I was completely entitled to under law) and then said, "You're welcome for the free session," like I was somehow in the wrong and all this hassle was worth a training session (to note the trainers there are quite nice besides the owner). As I was leaving, I noticed in the memo part of the cheque "This refund is to clarify that End Result Fitness has HONORING your Risk Free 30Day Money Back Guarantee and by no means was your request for a refund due to lack of results or quality of service. This was 100% due to personal reasons." ....As a matter of principle, I wanted that changed because the way in which the owner handled himself and treated me was definitely what I would consider some of the poorest service I have ever experienced. I walked back into his office and asked that he leave the memo blank. I asked if he wanted me to make a scene and he said "That wouldn't be very good for you".... I was frightened. Only when I had a cheque with a blank memo, did he treat me with any amount of respect, said he felt awful and asked if there was anything that he could do to make it better. I would not recommend End Result! Their sessions are costly and dealing with the owner was a nightmare. It took 16 emails and two visits to ERF to have my money refunded.

I have a mixed review of End Result Fitness. I went for four training sessions with Chris who was absolutely fantastic. He was the nicest guy in the world and kept me motivated. I thought he did a great job. The facilities at the gym are somewhat limited however Chris made sure I got an amazing work out every time I was there. What completed overshadowed my good experience was my meeting with the owner, Allan Alguire, which is the reason I will not be going back.
At the end my program I had a post assessment with Allan where he, expectedly, tried to sell me a package and sign on with the gym. I understand that this is a business and that he is obviously doing his job but in my humble opinion, I thought he was very unethical with how he went about it. I am a student and I am currently at a good weight but wouldn't mind losing about 5 pounds. When I informed him that I am a poor student and cannot afford to sign on, he was relentless about telling me what a good investment this would be for my future. I informed him, once again, that I did not have the money and then he told me it is worthwhile TO GO INTO DEBT to pay for the sessions. I reaffirmed my point that this was not in my budget and then he used manipulative tactics by stating that it doesn't seem like I am committed to being healthy. Once again, in my opinion, I think it is really unethical to push people to commit financially beyond their means under the facade of making them healthy when really it is just to make a profit. I was so upset after this, I googled his names to see if anyone else felt this way and Im not the only one. I also found that he commented on this video on how to sell personal training sessions which just reaffirms my belief that he is not genuine and I would not want to go back to his gym despite the great experience I had with Chris. You can see the video here and scroll down for his comment: http://ptpower.com/2010/06/02/howtoselltonsofpersonaltraining/

Most expensive training you can receive in this region, and not any better than training you can get at a regular gym. Your money will go 5 times further at any other gym compared to this studio. The cost of 2hrs of training here is equivalent to 10hrs of training at a gym, or the price of a full annual gym membership at most gyms. Further more if you do sign a contract here make sure your monthly bills start AFTER the 30 day trial period has ended. I was unaware when I signed a contract here that I would lose almost 400$ because their '30 day money back guarantee' does not cover anything other than the initial fees. I was billed 12 days after signing up for the following month, and this charge is not refundable according to their contract. The owner claims my case was rare 1/100 but regardless, the owner lacked the 'goodwill' to refund me the total. I feel like the contract was extremely unfair and he basically said 'You should have canceled within the first 12 days before the payment was taken out'. He made several offers to sweeten the deal for me to use up the month of training I had been billed for, but I was too frustrated and angry with him to enjoy working out there so this was not really an option for me. I only wanted to be refunded. I would not recommend this studio to anyone. Go to a local gym and speak with their personal trainers.
