The Adelaide Health Clinic is a money charging factory.
Don't EVER be late for an appointment. I was late by 8 or 9 minutes, first thing in the morning, there was no one in the waiting room and my doctor woudln't see me. AND the first thing out of the receptionist's mouth was you owe us $75.
It's all about the MONEY GRAB folks.
Staff tend to be snotty and cliquey.
Fitness instructors are great though : which is the reason I go to the Adelaide Gym (plus convenience).

I agree the Adelaide Club is amazing would never survive in New York or London?? Are you kidding? Have you ever visited some clubs there? These guys know what they are doing beautiful design, biggest group ex schedule in the city and very clean and modern. They have about 4000 members so it can get busy, but if you can work out away from prime time there is no club better in my opinion.

I don't understand these reviews below the Adelaide Club is the finest club in Toronto. Very clean oldest cardio equipment is no more than 2 years old and they have 4 gyms to work out in plus a medical clinic, spam pilates studio, squash. I would highly recommend the club to anyone.

After spending nearly 3 million on a renovation, you think they might have upgraded the cardio & weight equipment. The money seemed to go into imporving the social aspects. I will not be renewing this June.

There's too few day use lockers and they're clumped together in 2 areas in the mens change room. The club wants you to rent a locker from them, but there's a waiting list and they are not cheap.
Cardio equipment is poorly maintained and is old. Broken equipment is not addressed promptly.
A recent renovation did little to improve the flow of the workout areas and was more a cosmetic fix.
This is a club where many of the members are there to appear to workout instead of accomplishing fitness goals. The men's change room is a warren of narrow passageways. The change room is messy and smelly. Litter is commonplace as the members seem to not be inclined to pick-up after themselves, which could be more a statement about the kind of people this club attracts!
The PTs are young and friendly, but like all other aspects of the club, expensive. There is no involvement from the training staff with non-paying customers.

Dirty, overcrowded, poor equipment and awful ventilation. Staff (with one or two exceptions) are only interested in their fee-paying clients; don't expect any help/advice if you don't pay for a personal trainer. Quite frankly, a city-center gym of this poor quality wouldn't survive somewhere like London or New York. They can only get away with it as there is very little competition in downtown Toronto.
