hi. i would like to know which are the safest most effective exercises for the lower back. especially for someone just getting started.

If you have a problem with your lower
back please see a physiotherapist as
they can tailor exercise according to
your muscular weaknesses.

If you have a strong back to begin with
the safest exercises would be ones
that:

1. Work your abdominals they play a
major role in your back strength.

2. Back exercises such as ball back
hyperextensions are usually a beginners
lower back exercise.

3. Machine exercises make sure that
your posture is in the correct
position.
