Weight & Fat Loss | Not losing weight?

sorry if there's been similar posts but im getting a bit fed up.

Im 10 stone 1 and 5 ft 6 so not exactly overweight but i used to be 8 stone 3 and have slowly put weight onthe last 3 years. I want to lose a stone and Ive been counting calories and doing a 50 minute power walk 5 times a week. Ill admit I let myself go a bit more at the weekends but during the week Ive been so careful, obsessing over every calorie and eating ay less than 2000 a day. The first week I PUT ON 3LBS! I was so gutted just dont see how it could have happened. I was on my period then so I thought it could be that. I didnt weight myself for 2 weeks then i was 10 stone 1, still one pound more than i was when i originally weighed myself.

On top of the walking Ive also been doing Davina DVDs and Nell McAndrew but nothing seems to be working-its only been 3 weeks but I was hoping all that effort would have paid off somewhere.

What am I doing wrong? :(

I'm struggling to lose weight as well. I am going to try
a weight loss challenge where they email me workout
videos and nutritional vides. It starts October 1st and
I'm going to see if that will give me the tools I need to
drop the weight.

Limit sugary foods, salt, and refined-grain products. Sugar is added to a vast array of foods. In a year, just one daily 12-ounce can of soda (160 calories) can increase your weight by 16 pounds. See suggestions below for limiting salt and substituting whole grains for refined grains.

The increased weight is biggest problem and issue in today world. The weight increases in rocket speed and for cuming down it need high patience and lot of efforts with strict deit regime and vigour excerise then also it comes in very low speed like an ant walking. My problem is my weight comes down but after some it again gain what is matter with me.

i think there are something wrong to your diet. The word diet doesn't just refer to a reduction in eating. It also means adjusting your diet to include more of the things you need and less of the things you don't. A balanced diet is going to be key in order to losing stomach fat. Your body stores energy in two ways: glycogen and fat. Glycogen is stored in your muscles and liver.

Good Day. I am a Personal Trainer from Thunder Bay, Canada. From what I see you are doing everything right. Don't use weeks as your timelines. Weight loss takes time, use months. I gained 16 lbs over the summer, and have lost 12 lbs over the last 4 months. Your calorie intake seems fine. Expand your exercise program to include a total body workout.
Using items such as resistance tubes, 5-8 lb dumb bells, toning balls, body weight exercises will promote more weight loss. Give yourself time. My problem was freqquent snacking. I overcome this by snacking on fresh fruits and vegetables. Fills my stomach but without many calories.
Feel free to email me if you need further assistance. Cheers!
Hope this helps

Working out is all about the Energy
Balance Equation, you will lose weight
if you follow its simple principles.
Count your calories for the day and
realize that whatever you eat you need
to burn off that and more to see weight
loss, but it is a slow process and you
should only try to lose 1 to 2 pounds a
week for healthy weight loss (as in
weight you lose and can keep off for the
future) You can try using a calculator
like this one to find your RMR or
resting metabolic rate
After you figure that out, you need to
find out how many calories you burn
while you do your walking and after that
its simple, just figure out how to
create a 500 calorie difference and you
will for sure lose weight!

When you want to lose weight you should
not get on a diet or any weight loss
program because these are temporary
things, you should change your
lifestyle. Don't stop eating for a few
weeks but eat healthy for life! Don't
just workout to lose weight, workout all
the time and never stop. You should
change your whole life because whatever
you're doing is not working out, is it?
For example; one way of working out
"always" is taking the stairs instead of
the elevator, parking your car far away
and walking all the way to the store,
drinking bottles of water all the time,
changing your food habits to fresh
vegetables, and avoiding deep dishes
when serving your food. Psychologically,
people tend to feel satisfied whether
they emptied a deep dish of soup or a
flat dish of soup. It's all in your
mind. You control your mind, you control
your body.

Hi!

One recommendation is to NEVER starve yourself! Eat healthy meals throughout the day to increase you metabolism and provide enough nutritional value for your body. Starving yourself seems like a good idea to either shrink your stomach or to lose weight. But that's entirely wrong. By starving, you are confusing your body that it isn't receiving enough food. As a consequence, you body will immediately convert all the food you ate into fat because it does not know when is the next time you'll eat. So you might say how is that possible since you are losing weight? Well, fat weighs lighter than muscle and it could be that you are losing muscle in the process of starving. So be consistent in your meals and the scheduling for the best results! Hope that helps somehow.

I'm a tea addict. I could never get
through an entire day without a cup of
freshly-brewed loose green tea. The
smell alone is enough to make my mouth
water and the delicious sensation of
fresh hot tea sliding down my throat is
something that I always take time to
relish during my tea break. Green tea
has tons of health benefits and is a
great source of antioxidants. The ever
increasing sale of green tea actually,
is due to its ability to produce fat
oxidation. This simply means that
drinking green tea will act directly on
your body to lessen your fats because of
its natural oxidizing property. Cheers!

Hello,

Sounds to me like you might have plateaued. If you are doing a 50 minute walk 5x/wk, then your body has now adapted to this level of exercise. In my opinion, long duration cardio is good if you are endurance training (ex, 10k run), however, for losing weight, long cardio sessions will not produce the results you want. I recommend short-burst cardio intervals to my weight-loss clients with great success. Cardio alone will not help you lose weight. You need to add strength training as well. Strength training will keep your metabolism burning fat for hours after you've finished your workout.

I know its hard to lose weight but all you need is just eat right and workout correctly. Do it and keep doing it. It won't happen fast, but it will happen. Be consistent. Never stop. Work hard and stay dedicated. Don't be satisfied until you get EXACTLY what you want. And like magic... weight loss happens. Actually the best weight loss program is the safest one. Exercise, healthy lifestyle (what you eat and what you do, eg., sleep on time) and positive outlook.

We believe that the most effective, quickest & long lasting weight loss is achieved through a combination of both diet and exercise that are in sync with each other. If you want to achieve healthy weight loss, change to a diet plan full of fruits and vegetables and low in fat.

Hello,

You see, the rate of success in regards to weight loss and fat loss is based on how fast or slow your metabolism is. The slower it is, not only will you not lose weight quickly, your body will actually also STORE body fat instead of burning it off! And of course, the faster it is, the faster you'll melt away the lbs.

Now, with that said above, I strongly recommend you avoid fad dieting. This type of dieting (low fat, low carb, etc.) are the types of programs that will end up slowing down your metabolism. This happens because our bodies do not respond well to unnatural dieting or restricting calories/nutrients.

Two ways you can combine proper nutrition and boosting your metabolism are as follows:

1.) Shifting calories - This type of dieting method will skyrocket your metabolism to the maximum peak. It works by alternating the types of calories you eat during the day to manipulate your fat burning hormones into increasing.

2.) More meals - Instead of the usual 2 or 3 meals a day, eat 4-6 small healthy meals spread through out the day. This will not only keep your digestive system busy... (which increases your metabolism), you will also not be as hungry through out the day or get cravings!

Thanks.
