Exercise Questions | New to joggin/running/sprinting

Hi everyone I'm use to doing cardio at the gym elliptical, treadmill, stationary bike, I usually do high intensity intervals. On Saturday I decided to change things up seeing how I've been in the gym doing cardio and weight training (following Kris Gethin's 12 week transformation program) for the past month 1/2. I Jogged about 3miles on pavement/trails and the following day my shoulders and lower back were crazy sore. I've never gotten sore from cardio...the only thing I can think of is that I weighed 345 at one point right now I'm down to 253 should I blame the sorness on excess skin moving up and down? Went back at it today for another 3miles threw in some sprints here and there the soreness feels great just not sure if its normal...

I wish I had seen this post sooner to give
you some timely advice. Hope it's not too
late. Soreness is normal any time you
switch to a new form of exercise. And, no,
it's not your skin. With your stats,
though, I'd suggest building into it very
slowly. I'd also look into proper running
technique that will minimize your chances
of injury.
