Exercise Questions | Neck routine

Hi everyone I have a question. I train my 15 y.o. son who is a high school wrestler. I have him working a neck routine on a our Hammer Strength 4 way neck machine. 3 sets x 8-10 reps x 3 times week. I used this routine for myself years ago. I just want to make sure that if this not too much or too little. All advice is greatly appreciated.

irishabs Thank You my son use to run X country, but did said that alott of guys were cheating onn the course and decide not to. He does ride bike. His Wrestling Club coach was a 2x NCAA D1 national champ and also a 3 time X Country All-American Jack Cuvo. he also really pushes the X country in the off season .

Yes that is a perfect for him to be doing. The only thing that I would watch is the weight that you are using with his neck, because it does not take much to hurt the neck.

I know this isn't bout neck strength, but does your son run x-country in the fall before wrestling season? Most of the team that I coach for x-country is wrestlers that are looking to get down to weight, and to get there endurance up.

If not I would highly recremend that your son did. Endurance is a crucial part of training for wrestlers.
