Exercise Questions | Lower abs and butt

hi there! Im needing some help with my current workout program, i do three days of cardio for 20-30 mins and then three seperate days of weight concentrating on two seperate muscle groups eg back bicep, chest tricep etc i do 3-4 sets of 10-12 reps for each exercise. i do abs everytime i work out. Despite all this i cant get rid of the thin layer of flab over my last set of abs and there is a small amount under my butt that i just cant seem to shift, any advice i would appreciate! im 5'8'' and weigh 133lbs. Many thanks

When you train the abs you won't lose fat just getting muscles.

a great exercise for the lower abs is the leg raise it also targets the waist

Great question...yes, I have noticed if we stick to maintenance work...we will not get past the 'edges.' increasing cardio time and the RUNNING are especially important. Best Wishes..I am starting my marathon training to day...I'll get back and let you know...keep us posted on your progress+

What you may try is that of increasing your cardio by five minutes every time or another excercise that I would also recremend is that of High Intensity Interval training.

That is where you run 200meters and then have a 45 sec recovery before goin another 200.

Does that make any sense? HIIT is known to be one of the fastest ways to burn that extra body fat without the risk of catabolising the muscle that you have in longer endurance runs!
