Exercise Questions | Inability to straddle a chair or bike

This is going to sound really strange but I am a 60 year old woman who after many years not doing this, I tried to ride on the back of a motorcycle and discovered I could not lift my leg to straddle it. I then tried just straddling a chair and found I could not widen my legs. Is this a muscle problem. Is there an excercise to help increase the inner thigh and stretch it?

You need to focus on stretching! While I would suggest that you see someone before you begin any exercise program, you should also be stretching on a daily basis. You need to loosen your hamstrings and groin if you want to hop back on a bike.
