Workout Talk | How can i tone down bulky legs?

I have been working out for nearly 20 years, and have always had an issue with maintaining good proportion. I am quite nicely toned and fairly muscular in my upper body and abdominals, so no complaints there. Where I have always had an issue is with my legs as they become "stocky" very easily. I have to forgo squats, lunges, deadlifts, even stairmasters and cycling activities as they pile on bulkiness to my upper legs and glutes. Can anyone recommend some exercises which will lengthen, and tone down the quads etc.?

Yep, try focusing on 15-25 reps with your legs and try running for a longer distance.
