Nutrition | Eatting every 2-3 hours..

So it says this in the nutrition section... if i ate a Sandwich every couple hours is that enough? or does this mean to have healthy snack foods, like fruits and vegetables every 2-3 hours throughout the day?

Thanks!

You should eat every 2-3 hours to keep your insulin levels normal which decreases hungry and avoids the desire to binge. Further, eating every 2-3 hours keeps your metabolic rate up. Each meal should contain some form of lean protein (protein increases metabolic rate and helps you feel full), vegetables/fruits (these take more energy to digest), some carbohydrate in a fiber rich form like whole wheat bread ( fiberslows glucose absorption) and a some form of good fat (like omega threes). This sound like a lot so portions should be small/moderate. This is what is called a thermally effective meal menaing the meal itself is designed to take more calories to digest and to keep your metabolic rate up until the next meal...Lanny Schaffer... It says that you should eat protein, fruits and veggies every 2-3 hours. A sandwich contains many carbohydrates from the bread.

Hope that helps,
