Body Building | Chest day


my chest days are monday, wednesday, and friday. i knwo that im not suppose to train so much but im young and also im not training super hard. on mondays and wednesdays i do incline and flat bench presses. On Friday, however, i do pushups (20 reps vs the 6 reps for bench press) just to have variety in my routine. Is this good or should i stick with bench press?

i was just reading that thinkin about doing my squats with dumbells.. but i dont think they make 225 lb dumbbells and even if they did .. im sure i couldnt hold on to em very long :-p

At least do 3 sets of squats with the dumbells on your sides? Once a week? Is that too much to ask for? 9 minutes of your 1440 minutes a day?
At least do it on a sunday maybe, when you got nothing else to do.

I think its alright to play tennis the next day if your legs are sore. You can do lunges and Standing Calf Raises

Thanks for responding. If i train my legs, and i run and play tennis the next day with sore legs, would that be bad? And if its not bad, what are some exercises i can do at home with dumbbells other than squats?

Well i suggest working out your legs tho, but if you think your legs are fine then by all means dont work on them :)

Umm i dont really workout just for my legs. but you see i have p.e. and i also play tennis around 4 times a week so i thought that would be enough for me since im not trying to get super big

you dont workout your legs? The key in getting bigger is to work on your back,chest and most important legs, but not over train them. If you really want to train your chest 2x's a week maybe try: Monday/Fri chest and tri's Tuesday/Satureday Back, bi and abs and Wednesday Legs and delts (shoulders) Sunday rest or cardio if you perfer. ***Member if you are training back,chest and legs (I'm guessing you are training them) 2x's a week dont train them super duper hard. Also get a lot of rest. Im guessing your a teenager like me so you should get a min. of 9hrs of sleep (your muscels grow when your sleeping)*** Oh yeh and for your pushups, maybe try doing them right after you finish all your chest routine.

Tuesday, Thursdays, Saturdays-abs, biceps, back

I workout at home
