Nutrition | Amount of protein in one sitting?

can someone tell me what is the recommended amount of protein one should ingest in one sitting? I thought the rule of thumb was 30-40 grams per sitting, but I have some friends that like to argue and they insist that at weight, (250, they are big) that there bodies can accept upwards of 60-75 grams of protein in one sitting.

Thanks for your help..

Well lol...Through my studies as PT "Quote on quote" M kleiner,"Your body can absorb only 25 grams of protein every two hours".Whey has shown faster absorption rates up to 25 grams per hour. Daily intake should be 2.0 grams per kilogram of body weight. That down to the science.Studies have shown anything over 2.2 grams per kilogram has a high chance of turning into fat.
