Body Building | Advice on my workout routine


i do my entire body all in one workout legs, abs, entire upper body, i usually go to the gym for 2-3 hours on sunday, tuesday and thursday, why is it bad to do my entire body in one workout? i also box on mondays and fridays and play hockey on wednsday, is this too much and if so why?

Yes, actually it is. You've probably missed the opportune time to take carbs and protein after you've teared down the muscle tissue. You're glycogen and other energy stores will not be as fresh for when you start training your new muscle groups after 1.5 hours.

Anyone have other tips for not working out past 1.5 hours?

It's not bad at all. If you're working out 3 times a week that's exactly what regeme I would put you on.

However, you're working out for far too long. It should take you just over an hour to do weights (A whole body).

People use 'split' routines to increase their overall muscular mass, but they require working out 5-6 times per week.

You're doing a good job, keep up the good work.
