Workout Talk | Women's fitness

Hey, I'm trying to put together a good program for my girlfriend to follow. I've never really paid to much attention to women's fitness before. She just wants to tone up an already athletic body. Just wondering if there is anything different about a womans body that should be kept in mind when choosing the exercises/reps/weight..?

Thanks a tonne.

Women are more concerned with gaining too much muscle too fast... while this is a myth and they actually have a harder time gaining muscle, it's still a primary concern.

Have you tried a circuit routine? I'm assuming her goals are to tone.
