Body Building | Weightgainer vs. protein powder

I was at the store the other day and I was looking
through all the stuff they had.
There was a weight gainer product that said it would add
more pounds by giving me somewhere around 750-1500 more non fat calories a day.
It gave you 10g of protein per serving too.

The other one was a protein powder, it gave you 21g of protein per serving
but little calories.

What do you guys recommend I take, I do want to gain more weight but I heard that
more protein is needed to build muscles. Im pretty skinny but have some muscle to me.
And Im technically a hardgainer.

I would recommend a good weight-gainer. I put on 15 pounds of almost all muscle this summer using GNC's mega mass. The weight gainer you looked at in the store sounds pretty crappy to me. Each serving of mega mass has 55 grams of protein and 600 non-fat calories. Take two servings of this a day and you will get lots of protein plus add 1200 calories to your daily intake.

start off with protein powder becuase everyone makes the mistake of think they will magically gain weight from supplements if you aint got the muscle their in the first place it isnt going to work protein is needed first cause it is the MAIN thing your muscles need after a workout not calories get the calories after a few months of using protein supplements

The quality of the protein is more important than the quantity. I'd recommend whey and egg protein powders, I can't afford them, but maybe you can.
