Do you mean a glass of wine during dinner twice a week or do you mean getting "hammered" with your friends twice a week with your friends? If it's the first, no problem. In fact studies show that it can actually be good for you. If it's the latter, here are a few things to consider:
Alcohol yields 7 cal/g. It is also a type of carbohydrate which is easily converted into fat. If we're talking about hard liquor, just know that 1 shot of vodka is approximately 100 calories. If we're talking about beer, a 12oz glass is 145cal. Try to choose darker beers and wine since they yield more nutrients.
How it affects your training: keep in mind that alcohol actually dehydrates you since it is a diuretic. When you are dehydrated your metabolism slows down. As well, alcohol decreases protein synthesis by almost 20%. This makes it harder to develop muscle tissue.
Since most people drink during the evenings, the chances of burning off those calories are very slim. And since your budy recuperates and rebuilds itslef during sleep, your benefits of sleep will be greatly diminished due to you being dehydrated.
If you are going to drink, try and limit consumption and drink a glass of water before going to bed.
