Nutrition | Suppliment advice

I've be working out consistently every other day for about 6 weeks now. Each workout takes about 1hr 30min. I've already gone down 2 belt notches :) My age is 39, height is 5' 6" and at the beginning was about 156lbs, now I'm at about 150lbs. My gut seems to be slimmer on the sides but, the front is still a 1 pack ;)

My diet is pretty good, even before I started working out. Although I've cut back on a few things since. I was given a tub of ISOFlex which I take only after each workout. 2 scoops with 6oz of 2% milk and 6oz. water.

My goal is to get fit and ripped. Weight doesn't matter as muscle weighs more than fat anyway. So my question is; would the protein powder I'm currently on do the job or should I move into a pure amino acid pre and/or post workout pill? Thanks!

Hi!

I would stick to ISOFlex, but change my workout routine that I've been doing for the past 6 weeks; I will bring more intensity to it, do high reps (at least 15 reps - 3 sets); and once I am done my weight training, I would run for 25 mins at 80-85% Max HR.
You said "My gut seems to be slimmer on the sides but, the front is still a 1 pack ;)" - at this stage, you don't necessarily have to focus on abs excercises, but rather focus on cardio.

Hope this helps (well, actually if you do exactly what I mentioned above and put some effort, you will see results for sure, and it will help)

Keep us posted!

Cheers!
