Weight & Fat Loss | Stuck at 215

Hey all, I have been working out on and off for a few years now and am starting to take it more seriously for football season. I've been eating fairly healthy and since I have 3 weeks off paramedic school until I go back have been going hard in the gym with p90x. I have been doing resitance training 4 days a week with cardio 6 days a week.

I lost 5lbs in the first 2 1/2 weeks but seem to be stuck at the same weight. I am not overweight or anything, I am 6'4" but really want to lose weight to trade for speed this coming football season.

I pretty much have the same thing every day for nutrition, Cherios with a hard boiled egg for breakfast, workout followed by a protein shake with just water. Handful of almonds with a handful of raisins for my snack, lunches can vary a little bit but mostly is comprised of a turkey breast sandwhich on 9 grain with mustard and lettuce usually. A fruit like an apple or pear for my next snack, with 2 little cup thingis of yogurt. And dinners I normally like to mix around, usually clean though, chicken breast is what I have 90% of the time with a veggie and a starch, no added salt or butters though.

I am trying to lost another 10-12 pounds and appear to be stuck. Any advice would be awesome if anyone has any. I'm really new with nutrition and am wondering also what if any lowering of my intake of food will help.

Thanks :D <3

It keeps you active and moving the entire workout instead of taking 2 min breaks in between each set.. Definitely a harder way to workout but are you in there to make it easy or lose weight?

Try this Circuit Workout

You can do HIIT on a treadmill, bike or any cardio machine.

Your plateauing has nothing to do with that supplement but it does make you retain more water as it has creatine in it.

Hey PT. Yeah, in the spring/summer months I like to do HIIT in a football field, however now that it's winter I am not really able to do so. I will see what happens if I take out starches for dinner and add maybe a little extra veg instead.

And when you say circuit routine do you mean, warmup with say 20-30 mins of cardio followed by resistance training and finish with another 20-30 of cardio?

Currently I am doing resistance training in the AM and Cardio in the PM after supper time for the most part.

I'm also taking Gaspari super pump pre workout for resistance, would that have anything to do with me plateauing?

Have you tried HIIT?! Your diet appears pretty clean. Some might say that you should 'earn' those starches for dinner by doing a hard workout prior.

With your resistance training you should do a circuit instead of your split routine.. It will help keep your heart rate up the whole time and keep your heart nice and healthy.
