Weight & Fat Loss | Question about hear rate and losing weight

Hi, I just have a question if anyone can help me. I'm 22 years old, 5'11 and I weight 240 lbs, I'm not really fat at all though, I'm actually quite athletic, I have been my whole life. I don't look anywhere near 240 lbs nor do I feel it. I've decided for multiple reasons to lose some weight, however I know burning fat is the key and to losing the unwanted weight, and I also know for a 22 year old a target heart rate for fat burning is around 160 or so, but whenever I exercise to an extent that I feel like im getting something out of it my heart rate is at least 185 and usually closer to 192 and gets as high as 200+. If I do 30 minutes of cardio with my heart rate at 190+ am I going to have any success losing the unwanted weight or am I simply burning muscle instead? Is having such a high heart rate during work outs common?

Thank you to anyone who can help!

First off with an age of 22 you have a max heart rate of 198. That is it's maximum. you should train at 85% for maximum results of weight loss 168. Your heart rate should not go below your minimum heart training rate of 65% which in your case is 128. buy your self a heart rate monitor if you don't have one already. maintain your heart rate between these numbers preferably closer to the 168 heart rate for max caloric burn and cardiopulmonary training. with time and sweat your heart and lungs will work more efficiently and you will need more intensity in your workouts to get your heart rate up to the max training range.
when your heartrate gets to the 200 range decrease your exertion.
