Exercise Questions | Omega 3 and 6 benefits?


I had a question concerning taking omega 3 and 6 tablets. Are they really that necessary in a nutrition standpoint? If so, what kind and how much should I take. Right now, I am adding a tablespoon of olive oil to my one-a-day protein shake. Thanks!!

Hi Dustin,

Omega 3's and 6's are EXTREMELY important. Since our North American diet actually gets enough omega 6's (most canned/processed foods contain them) we need more omega 3's to keep a balance. Omega 3's are good for your hair, skin, brain, metabolism etc. Take a look at this article:
