Exercise Questions | Need help bulking up.

Okay, so my friend and I have just finished purchasing gym memberships and are trying to bulk up for the summer. We have our workout figured out (So we think) and have been trying it. Unfortunately, I don't know if it's 100% effective. We are doing 3 sets and 8 reps. Is this a good thing for bulking? Like, just stick with that, four days a week, Day 1 is Chest and Bis, day 2 is Back and Tris, day 3 is legs and shoulders, then day 4 is rest day. Is this fine? I guess I just realy want to make sure this will be effecyive and I will see results.
