Weight & Fat Loss | Im new help please :)

Hey everyone,

I am new to these forums and relatively new to working out as well. I am 19 and have been working out for about 4-5months [2months seriously]. I am 5'9 and weigh 184. I was 178 but I didnt watch my diet and didnt work out for a while and jumped to 187. I am now 184 and controlling my diet. I just have a few questions. First, what is a good method to lose chest fat and build the peck shape. I do benchpress, flies, decline bench 2-3 times a week and I do the pyramid set [starting at 5 +bar and moving up in 5 increments. I start with 25-30reps and go down 5-7 reps per weight increase]. Also, I wanted to know if I should look into some fat burning supplements, do they work and are they safE?

thank you!

Sounds like you're on track already for your goals.

When trying to lose fat, it is important to know that our bodies cannot "spot reduce" fat. In other words, working a specific body part will not make you lose fat around that part, you will simply build muscle.

Fat comes off us in sheets, from everywhere all at once. You must lower your overall body fat to lose fat on your chest. This is acheived mostly through healthy diet and eating less calories than you burn on a daily basis. You can increase the calories you burn by increasing your activity. Hight intensity interval training has been proven more effective than cardio for burning fat, try it out.

Fat burning supplements are not good for you at all. Don't take them. Green tea is a natural thermogenic and while not as strong as a pill, is infinitely better for you and will actually strengthen your body instead of breaking it down.

Keep at it. You're working hard and it will pay off.
