Exercise Questions | How do i reduce stress on my hand?

I workout using mostly Nautilus type machines. In the last couple of months, my right hand has begun to ache a bit. The pain is along the tendon running from my right-hand ring finger into the the palm. It is usually worse in the morning and sometimes the finger will "catch" and not open with the other fingers when I extend them. Then it will snap open. Will gloves help this? Any other ideas?

Sounds to me like carpal tunnel. My friend has the same problem. I would see a doctor as soon as possible and refrain from exercising/lifting with that hand since it would only serve to increase the nerve pressure and possibly damage it further. Stick to some flexibility exercises with that hand for now until you see a specialist.
