3/10/2010 9:53:59 AM |  I have nothing but good to say about the herbal magic I joined, only a week ago.
I was diagnosed with a heart condition 4 years ago that prevents me from any form of serious excersize and I've packed on some weight.
My centre checked all the supliments against my Rx medications and told me what I can and cannot take, and have started me only on 1/2 doses for the first month to make sure there is no negative side effect.
They have also held off the $1000 fee until they are sure its safe... that doesn't sound like a money grab to me.
They have never upsold me on any additional products, only that they are available if I chose to use them.
First week alone im down 10lbs, and have never found I'm starving, in fact i struggle mostly with eating as much as they want me to.
The food guide is great and I make all my own food, and can even eat out.
My mother has had huge success on the program and I would recommend it to anyone who is serious about following the program.

2/26/2010 6:35:42 PM | Hi. You ALL need to watch the episode of Marketplace that aired on Friday February 26/10. It was all about Herbal Magic and how bad it actually is. They are ripping us all off, big time. And their products are not approved at all for weight loss. Make sure you check that episode out.
BTW...........I am stopping my program. Cannot afford to spend another $2000 -$3000 dollars more. Also, they are only feeding us 921 calories a day. No wonder we are all losing weight. We are being underfed. That explains why I am so freakin' hungry.
This program exposed all of the things we have all wondered about for a while. All we have to do is eat correctly, and the right amount. Not this 921 calories a day crap.
PLEASE WATCH THE PROGRAM..... EVERYONE..... INCLUDING THE HM COACHES. IT IS A REAL EYE OPENER.

The supplements are superior quality and support from the coach is excellent. Stop being so negative ... you knew you couldn't do it alone so you paid to join ... simple as that. Of course you had to work hard to lose ... nothing or noone can do it for you.

2/15/2010 2:26:03 PM | I would like to state that each Herbal Magic is a franchise therefore each center is NOT ran the same. When I went for my consult EVERYTHING was laid out on the table( no costs where hidden) I knew exactly what i was walking into. As far as 300.00/per week I have no idea what herbs you were buying because the only ones that you need to purchase is the 2000s and chrommagic which is far from 300.00/month what I pay for my herbs is less then what I was paying for my Tim Hortons Coffee on a weekly bases. I choice of food was awesome I was able to have frozen food and well take out foods and yes I am able to have an ice cap( medium) and with white milk instead of cream but I am still able to want it IF i choose.
As long as you stay on programm you see results and yes the Centre in Cold Lake, Alberta in courages you to work out because it' is about a HEALTHY lif style. The owner operator Maggie McKinnin is gone through the programm herself and lost termendous amounts of weight and continiues to educate herself and is getting her degree in Nutrition as well. I wish that CBC has looked at the Cold Lake Center becuase it is nothing like the one in there interview. The glas att he center are up front and honest about everything, and they do not PUSH anything on anyone. So please do not judge the whole programm by few bad expreiences, there are so many different elements and questions to be asked as to why these individuals had the experienes they had. Because my personal experience has been nothing but POSITIVE and I have lost 30 pounds and 37 inches...... and this is through a horse back riding accident and the stress of planning my wedding :)
Once again I have had nothing but a positive experience with Herbal Magic Owner and Operated by Maggie McKinnin in Cold Lake, Alberta

When will the Government bring charges against then for fraud? And I wonder why Steve Hudson, the owner of Herbal Magic, chose to hide from the cameras of CBC and instead, sent his underling to the cameras for slaughter. Save your money and stay away.

2/6/2010 9:52:56 PM | My husband and I joined HM in Sept. since then we have both lost almost 40 lbs and I have also lost 53 inches. I have been on every thing out there.. Sure Slim, Jenny Craig, WW, Nutrasystem. Believe me, if I could do it on my own, I would have.. but I can't. For some reason, HM is working for me. Yes it is not for everyone. But it works for me. I joined Sure slim.. they said, oh we create a diet just for you.. well, there were 4 of us on the program at work, and we all had the same diet!!! HM works because you make it work. I eat what I am supposed to, and yes, we have cheated, and paid for the luxury of cheating.. but if we stick to the program, we lose weight. I think ATTITUDE is very important. And staying with it! yes, it is expensive. But we have taken the $$ we used to spend on eating OUT, and put it towards the program. I feel better now than I have in my whole life. and I still have weight to lose.. but I know this is working for me.

If this was the case, then all other weight loss companies would fall at the hands of herbal magic and we would all be skinny. I suggest if you are being pushed into something that sounds too good to be true it probably is. You are wasting your time and money on this product, especially when nearly half of the supplements they push are not licensed. Join a gym, read a book and stop feeding this company.

weight loss means rapid weight gain and even more
pounds in the end. With Herbal Magic I not only have
lost the weight but kept it off. Way to go ME and

I have read all of the good and bad about Herbal Magic but not one single person has even remotely touched base on the facts in regards to why it may not have worked for them.
LETS START WITH STOP STUFFING YOUR MOUTH WITH THE CRAP YOU SHOULDN'T BE EATING!
We all know dieting is tough (this coming from myself who has lost almost 200lbs) The reality is no matter what diet you are on and for how long if you cheat you will not lose!
I know for a fact since I have curbed the Herbal Magic Diet for over 3 years to fit my lifestyle, I would eat great monday to friday average about 4-5lb weight loss and then go nuts and eat whatever on the weekend and gain 2 or 3, or I would get mad and be perfect and stay consistenly losing about 3-5lbs per week. The fact of the matter here is that when I was perfect and I stuck to the program I lost the weight.
Now if the counselors where pushing product at you it's because you were lying about what you were really doing, you lied about foods you were eating alcohol you were drinking, or whatever.
THE PROGRAM WORKS AND WORKS VERY WELL! YOU JUST HAVE TO ADJUST YOUR LIFESTYLE TO IT AND NOT THE OTHER WAY AROUND.
So for all of you individuals who are complaining go back and think about how honest you are being.

All our products work, you just need to choose the one thats for you. Now i don't know what your looking for, but i will tell you what we have and what can help you. But you would need to go in to Herbal Magic and get them to check if you can take the supplement first. Here are the ones that surpress you appetite.

I do not need the weigh ins and councilling, and was hoping with eating right and exercise i might be able to use a few supplements? Which ones ??I need to curb hunger? which ones REALLY work? 9/2/2009 1:42:41 PM | I was on the herbal Magic program for 3 months and I lost 25 pounds! I was sooo happy, until a few months later; I started to slowly gain my weight back (very slowly). I tried to keep up with the diet and joined again... but no results, still my weight kept going up. Not only that, but my health started to deteriorate. I started having terrible stomach aches. They were so bad that I was admitted to the hospital several times. The doctors (I seek several opinions) were very concerned with my health and they told me it was due to the diet. They explained to me that these diets are just a quick fix. They focus on rationing your food and avoiding carbohydrates and fats. But what they dont tell you is that your body also needs these carbohydrates and essential fats to function properly. These foods that you are avoiding provide you with important enzymes needed to absorb essential vitamins and minerals. Without them, your body will not be able to digest and properly distribute the food into your body causing it to deteriorate and having the tendency to get colon cancer or other irreversible illnesses.
It's been a year and a half since I left Herbal Magic and I still have problems with digestion. So, my point is that maybe as a quick fix....herbal magic is the answer...but what about your health in the long run?? Are you willing to trash your health in order to become thinner the fast way?? I mean why not just exercise? ....everything in this life is hard to accomplish... I know so many people want the easy way out... I know exercising can take too long to lose weight...but YOU will not be doing your body any harm.... in fact you will nourishing it... in the end... your body and your health is all you have in this life.. Dont do things you will regret... specially things that are not reversible... just think about it!
After all, I went back to get a second opinion at Herbal Magic...maybe they had a better way (healthier way) for me to lose weight...without the problems with digestion...and you know what I got from them? Nothing!! I got absolutely nothing...they only told me that they specialized in helping people lose weight not in peoples health, and that it was my choice if I wanted to keep with the plan.. It couldnt be changed to fit my needs. When I told them my health issues, they issued me a refund. So what does this tells you?? That is NOT a healthy way of losing weight!! They couldnt comply with my requirements because their way of helping you lose weight is not the healthy way!

9/1/2009 6:20:51 AM | I used to work for Herbal Magic ages ago, but I was lucky. At the time I worked there, I was Center Director and was able to get the area rep on my side to let me run my center the way I wanted to.
Head office agreed and they put pressure on the owner to back off and let me do what I needed to do to help clients. Yes, my center dollars increased 10 fold, but my clients were happy because I was able to recommend foods that would help them first instead of pills.
The deal I made with my clients was this "Go to the grocery store first, if what I tell you to buy there doesn't work then we'll talk supplements".
9.8 times out of 10 the food worked, and my clients where happy because they weren't taking an additional pill ontop of their regular supplements.
When I moved on, I started a healthy food website. I also have a couple of weight loss programs online there if you wanted to check them out.
But I have a page that has been completely dedicated to Herbal Magic there. I am happy to say that I have had both potential and current clients "weigh in" (pardon the pun) as well as more recently a recent employee.

5/27/2009 7:09:09 PM | I think it's pretty silly to say that we could all lose weight by following Canada's food guide, then why are we all so overweight?? and to the above people if you could have done it on your own then why the hell did you go into Herbal Magic and spend $1000 that's just stupidity! I'm currently struggling with my weight and let me tell you I HAVE been trying it on my own and it's not working! I have also had a gym membership for 2 years now and have yet to see results because I don't go regularily because I'm way too busy I've paid over $2000 on personal training sessions and lost only 10 pounds! I'm going into Herbal Magic tomorrow and plan on joining, my sister is on it and has lost 39 pounds she is the lightest she's EVER been! and she still has a social life, I only wish I had joined with her, I'd be down 39 pounds too, oh well never too late!

5/27/2009 6:57:01 PM | I have tried other weight loss programs like L.A. and Berstein and I can tell you that Herbal Magic is THE BEST PROGRAM out there I actually didn't find it restrictive you can eat from every food group nothing is not allowed, and the blue pills I was on totally took away my cravings and hunger since I joined I find that I have totally changed my lifestyle, in my opinion nothing is free and as women we don't do enough for ourselves, I think that I'm worth $1000 and so is anyone out there ready to make a lifestyle change don't let negative people who complain about everything talk you out of it, I've lost 25 pounds and I know I couldn't have done it without them

I gave birth to a beautiful baby girl one year ago, I gained 50 pounds as many women out there could relate. When my daughter was 2 months old I joined Herbal Magic, yes the registration was $1000 but that was for one year (my gym membership at premier cost me $800 for the year and I NEVER lost any weight) my supplements cost $200 per month which I can honestly say that I was spending on meals out, not to mention a $1500 treadmill which is sitting in my basement collecting dust. It has been the best money that I have ever spent on myself, today I'm down 55 pounds and have never felt better. If I could have done it myself with Canada's food guide and grocery store supplements (which I actually have tried in the past and they did not work!) then I certainly would not have walked into the Herbal Magic centre...btw my husband saw my results and is currently also on the program, he's down 35 pounds to date:-)
