Nutrition | Healthy waistline?

i know that everyone is built differently and carry weight at different areas of the body.

i am at 116lbs yet have a 28-inch waistline.

i just want to know about OTHER people:
what are you waistlines and how much do you weigh?

i know it's not a matter of weight that determines the waistline as weight constitutes fat and muscle weight.
BUT FOR GENERALITIES SAKE, please reply with your weights and waistlines-- THANK YOU!

ps. i just came from a forum and read that a 5'5 woman (which is also my height) who weighs 125lbs has a 26-inch waistline.
so yes, i'm very much concerned.
(but i am also beginning a new healthier diet and am beginning to exercise on a daily basis.)

Waist measurements can be somewhat unreliable from one person to another because people use different reference points to take their measurements. As long as you are consistent in your measurements, you will be able to tell if your waist size is coming down. Also, you should pay not compare any one measurement with another person, as your physical makeup is a matter of overall proportions.

That said, if you are beginning to exersize more, your waist is sure to tighten up as your abdominal muscles tone up, regardless of your weight. Even if you gain a little weight, this is a sign of good health.

Ok,

from what i have read from the lady being 5'5 and 26 inch waist is because she is just that her pelvic bone is not as wide.

For an example i am an 18 year old male,5'3, and 118 pounds with a 27 inch waist. Some of my friends weigh less than me and have wider waist.

At that point it is all about genetics.

I don't think that you have anything to worry about.
