11/30/2007 9:19:45 PM | Cutting out sugars would be a good start. If you want to do core exercises, don't buy a rowing machine, get a "Swiss ball"- it is much cheaper and you can do a lot of exercises with it.
The simple fact is you can not spot reduce (i.e. losing fat in only a specific area) weight loss occurs over the enitre body. The key is to increase your muscle mass; increasing muscle mass will help you burn calories even while you are not working out (resting). Look into doing some resistance training (push-ups, chin-ups, dumb-bells, free weights, etc)
If you are looking for a 6-pack or just want to get rid of love-handles; diet is key.
