Weight & Fat Loss | Getting into shape!

okay so i live in the North and its not exactly fun to go out and do anything in the winter time heh. But im trying to get back into shape. Everything on my body is muscle but Ive always had a problem with my core area. I was wondering if I did like 100 sit ups a day plus 1-2 hours of tennis and started eating better, cutting out sugar is my biggest problem.. would that help me START to lose weight in my stomach area? Kind of a lame question I know but I wanna at least TRY to do this. I hate running i have bad knees. I dont have any exercise machines tho id like to GET a rowing machine.. any tips or advice or replies? Help is appreciated, and if this shouldnt go here I apologize (newbie). Thanks.

Cutting out sugars would be a good start. If you want to do core exercises, don't buy a rowing machine, get a "Swiss ball"- it is much cheaper and you can do a lot of exercises with it.

The simple fact is you can not spot reduce (i.e. losing fat in only a specific area) weight loss occurs over the enitre body. The key is to increase your muscle mass; increasing muscle mass will help you burn calories even while you are not working out (resting). Look into doing some resistance training (push-ups, chin-ups, dumb-bells, free weights, etc)

If you are looking for a 6-pack or just want to get rid of love-handles; diet is key.
