3/20/2009 1:51:27 PM | Have you tried plyometrics? In this application you would reach down to touch your toes and hold at the lowest point. While you're there, flex and hold your leg muscles for 6 seconds. When you relax, you'll find you just extended your range by a few inches! Try it one more time, and you'll realize you're now a lot closer to your toes.
Don't overdo it. If you pull too much/ too fast, you'll be pretty stiff the next day. Try it maybe once or twice a day, gently, and build up to your goal.
The same principle can be used to stretch out other muscles if you want to increase your range of motion. Try it!

10/16/2008 9:04:44 AM | I have been doing yoga for four years now and I find myself to be pretty flexible but we all have our days. One way that I find helps me to stretch better is if I do so after about half an hour or cardio or even a hot bath. When your muscles are relaxed they will stretch more. Another thing that you need to make sure of is that you're holding the stretches for a significant amount of time and don't force it. It will only hurt more the day after.

8/29/2008 10:09:32 AM | One stretch that realy helps with that is reaching for your toes three times a day for 10-20 secs each time.
If you actually do that you will become more lmber in the back and hamstrings to reach the floor.
