Body Building | Best shows for weight training

Hi all,

I'm wondering, do you alter shoes when hitting the gym for different routines like weight lifting and cardio? What shoes are the best for running (cardio) along with deadlifting, squatting, standing curls, etc?

running shoes for running and cross trainers (or basketball shoes) for deadlifts, squats and standing curls.

You need ankle support for weight training but you need running shoes to run.
