First of all you need to figure out what body type you are. Once you have figured that out you need to set up a program that will first pump blood into the muscle and then define, strengthen and grow. Many body builders over train so be sure and let the muscle rest. If you do not your results will be comprimised greatly. Find a plan stick to it for no less than 4 weeeks and superset. Then change up your program with heavy yet controlable weight for reps of no more than 6-8 reps. Remeber diet is 80% of bodybuilding.

If you are training for hypertrophy (size) you should be flirting with the failure point as much as possible. Try using pyramids, supersets, and dropsets. Try and mix them up.

When you go to failure you can promote protein synthesis thereby helping your goal. Keep up the solid training!
